We had very summery weather for Peggy's bike ride to Victory Memorial and a whole lot more. We biked through Sohacki Park's wooded trail, then Crystal Lake trail with its boardwalk over the lake, stopped for a break, then biked up the trail along Victory Memorial Blvd to visit Abraham Lincoln and the WWI Memorial monument. We continued on along Victory Memorial to Shingle Creek Trail. Despite some maintenance obstacles and a fallen tree across our trail, we made it through to the Hwy 100 pedestrian bridge. We found our way to Twin Lakes Trail and stopped at the lake park for some shade and water, then returned past the north shore of Crystal Lake and Victory Memorial back to the Theodore Wirth Pkwy trail. Since we were a small group, we rode together. Thanks for joining this tour. I hope you enjoyed the new sights!
