Minnehaha Creek Headwaters Loop

It was a beautiful day for a ride, sunny, warm-ish and no wind. The fall colors were amazing! 

We started off with 4 riders. We picked up Rebecca along the rail trail and then we were 5. Everyone enjoyed winding through the Tonka Bay neighborhood and taking a break at Wekotah Beach. 

When we turned onto the Dakota rail trail we were in for a surprise. We ran into 5 more members of the club! Through a series of confusing circumstances we missed them at the community center so they set out on their own. So then we were 10 and we continued together for the rest of the ride.

We are riding deep into the fall. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. We enjoyed riding both sides on the MN river between Carver and Shakopee.

Extra ride 10/14

10 hearty bikers and a lot of geese rode a very nice 21 mile Cedar Lakes Trail loop on Wednesday. We had EX and ER represented too!

10/1 Lite Riders Excelsior to Hwy 7 Intersection

We gathered at the public parking in downtown Excelsior close to the library. We rode West on the Minnetonka LRT Trail to the Highway 7 intersection. We then retraced our path back to downtown Excelsior and after a chilly ride, enjoyed hot coffees at Dunn Brothers. This concluded our scheduled rides for Lite Riders for the season.

Scenic Boat Ride 10/8

35 MBC members and guests enjoyed a beautiful cruise on the Mississippi River.  Highlights included some lovely fall color, a close up encounter with a bald eagle, and a trip through the lock and dam at St Anthony.

Explorers Oct 6th ride from the Cedar Nicols Trailhead to the old Cedar Avenue Bridge

Beautiful sunny day for a ride along the Minnesota River.  We had 24 riders with a nice rest stop next to the old Cedar Avenue bridge.
