After five minutes of intense morning rain, the skies completely cleared for 12 Ramblers to ride a slightly downhill, zig-zagging route from the Hopkins Depot to the Golden Triangle area of Eden Prairie.
Then some challenging uphills took us to the shade of the EP water tower and beside the Town Center LRT station.
After a long downhill, we snacked and refreshed inside the new SW Station.
Road construction near the station forced a minor detour back to the water tower area.
Our 11:20 return to the Depot was more relaxed and aided by a noticeable tailwind.
This completely different type of Rambler route was enjoyed by all, despite some pre-ride anxiety.
For Explorers, this interesting route can be tailored to ride on only trails, sidewalks and some neighborhood streets.
