8/13 Lite Riders Circle the Lakes

We met at the Bread and Pickle on Lake Harriet and rode north over the hill to Bde Maka Ska. We circled Bde Maka Ska and it was smooth sailing. We took our first photo at the rest stop at the pavilion with the sailboats in the background. We rode back to the Lake Harriet band shell where we took our second picture. We then rode around Lake Harriet. On the north side of the lake we could smell the rose garden. But cycling is not always rosy. On the south side of the lake there was one 8 foot section of trail under repair where we rode slowly on gravel. Then there was another section where we were detoured out onto the street and back. We walked our bikes up and down some slippery looking metal ramps. We then rode back to the Bread and Pickle where we concluded our ride and enjoyed refreshments.
