It was a fine day for an end of March ride. Peggy had to leave the group before our stop at Bittner's Bakery in Shakopee. I don't know, taxes or donuts, that's not a hard choice in my mind - donuts! We used the very nice restrooms in the Shakopee Library. Trailside Biffies are not out yet (except at the Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area) and restrooms at Huber Park in Shakopee were still closed (there was a Biffy on the east side of the building). The east half of the trail from Shakopee to Chaska was covered with a lot of slash from tree and brush removal. Instead of using the Minnesota River Vista Overlook, we climbed the short hills to the Prairie Bluff Conservation Area Scenic Overlook. That view is very nice and lets us skip the tunnel under Flying Cloud Dr. that is often full of broken glass. From the conservation area we used Liatris Ln. to return to Charlson Rd.
